Civil Engineering lecture

Yesterday, our very own Jade van Zeeland gave a lecture about the topics of systems engineering (SE) and requirements management (RM) for civil engineering students of the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences. She explained the overall philosophy behind these concepts and she explained the practicalities of making system decompositions and defining explicit system requirements. Students also got the chance to use BriefBuilder for this purpose. Jade: “It was great to see how creative students were, making decompositions of all kinds of civil engineering structures, ranging from tunnels and dykes, to roads, docks and even a ship lifting system. It was big fun!”

Many thanks to Rolin Rolloos and Aart Westerduin the invite!
