We are happy to share that BriefBuilder will be deployed for the extension of Munich Airport Terminal 2.
This major development is driven by a joint venture of Munich Airport and Lufthansa, with the objective of accommodating future growth in air traffic.
The key project is a new pier (the T-Stiel), which will extend the existing satellite building of Terminal 2. Scheduled to open in 2035, the new pier is expected to increase the terminal’s capacity by up to 10 million additional passengers per year.
In addition, two more projects are being implemented to further enhance airport infrastructure.
Across all projects, BriefBuilder will support comprehensive requirements management (or Anforderungsmanagement, as they say in Germany).
Given the complexity of airport infrastructure, a significant share of the requirements relates to capacity, processes, and logistics, with safety and security as key priorities. At the same time, qualitative aspects—such as passenger experience, ambience, and overall quality of service—play a crucial role.
We are proud to support the project team in capturing, structuring and managing all requirements in a systematic and transparent manner, thereby contributing to solutions that fully align with the project’s ambitious objectives.
